Your first salary feels like freedom. Your first habits shape your future

Your first salary feels like freedom. Your first habits shape your future

The first salary feels special. For a moment, it feels like – Oh yes, you finally arrived, ahhh! Then comes the checklist, well a gift for your parents, dinner outing with friends, the favorite mobile model you been waiting to buy, OR maybe a short holiday.

I guess none of these choices are wrong. They are surely part of celebrating a milestone.

I have noticed over the time that investing rarely gets ignored on purpose. It simply keeps moving down the list. A credit card arrives. Then an EMI in queue already. Then another responsibility. Before you know it, months quietly become years!

The real cost isn't just the money you didn't invest. It is the feeling, a few years later, of wondering why building wealth seems harder than it should.

A Thought Before You Go -

Before your next salary arrives, don't ask, "What do I want to buy?" Ask, "What do I want this salary to quietly build for my future?"
