The One Question Nobody Asks Before Saying Yes

The One Question Nobody Asks Before Saying Yes

Something I have been thinking about off late.

When someone sits across from you and talks about a financial product - a policy, a fund, a plan, how do you know whether they're solving your problem or meeting their target?

It's not always easy to tell. The presentation looks the same. The words sound similar. The confidence is identical.

Here's one way to tell. Ask them "What happens if I don't buy this?"

If the answer is urgency — "this offer closes tomorrow," "rates will go up," "you'll miss out" — that's a sale.

If the answer is honesty — "nothing happens today, but here's what could happen in 5 years if you don't address this" — that's a conversation worth having.

The best financial decisions are never made under pressure. They're made when someone helps you see clearly, explains what you're actually signing up for, and then gives you the space to choose.
